Little Ondine is a British company selling nail polishes. They advertise their products as quick drying, odour free, easy to peel off and free from any harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl and camphor.
I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical at first. But it only made me want to try those nail polishes even more, they just seemed to have too many good qualities..
I decided to get twins set with the lovely name ‘red carpet runway’ containing colors : L100 (black), L025 (gold glitter), L905 (silver glitter) and L062 (red).
At the back of the box you can find list of all the ingredients. As advertised it doesn’t contain any of the harmful ones mentioned by the company. I am not a specialist though so I can’t tell you whether the ingredients used are bad for you but Little Ondine state that their products are ‘absolutely toxin free’.
The box itself is really simple, yet classy. Minimalistic black and white design allows you to focus more on the colors peeking from the back. The frame inside is made from uncolored cardboard. I think this whole concept goes hand in hand with company’s policy of having natural derived ingredients and being toxin free.
From the first use these nail polishes became my favorites!
All the colors from this twin set are beautiful, the coverage is amazing as well. I put just one cote of black and red and two cotes of glittery gold to get this effect.
I was expecting slightly less intensive nail polish smell or some strong perfume scent, but there is no smell whatsoever! They really are odour free! You can take them with you in case your polish chips and reapply without a worry, no one will complain about the smell.
The last thing to check for me was easy peel off.
I am one of those people whose nails are not very friendly with polishes, and want to get rid of them as quickly as possible. In other words my nail polish chips really easily, which can get pretty embarrassing when you’re on the go and have to meet other people. With easy peel off I can just quickly peel the chipped nail polish and reapply the color without the need to carry nail polish remover (which stinks as well). Whole layer of polish comes off perfectly at one go so nail is prepped for another application.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that it dries completely in around 5 min.
Lets sum this up then : when your nail polish chips you can just peel it off without damaging your nail and using stinky remover, it is odour free so you don’t have to worry about disturbing other people (and yourself) with the awful smell while reapplying wherever you are plus it dries completely in just about 5 min so it won’t take much of your time even when you are in a hurry.
I don’t know about you but I’m all in!
Especially because Little Ondine is cruelty free and vegan! They state that they are in the process of being certified Vegan & Cruelty Free company and will update their packaging once the paperwork is complete. But they never tested on animals and they don’t use animal derived ingredients, which means no animal had to suffer for you to get those gorgeous nail polishes! You can read more about it in the FAQ on their website where you can also buy their products. So head over to LITTLE ONDINE if you want to check them out.
Tell me in the comments which of the qualities you like the most and if you want to try for yourself if the actually work!
